The Greeneville/Greene County High School ART Merit Scholarship
The Greeneville Arts Council aspires to help our future artists in their continued pursuit of art education.
Question- who can apply?
Answer-The Greeneville Arts Council’s High School ART Merit Scholarship is open to any graduating high school student residing within and graduating from the Greene County and Greeneville City School Districts, that iscommitted to major in art, or art-related courses at an accredited college, university, or art school. This scholarship is to be used in support of educational studies that begin in the fall semester of the same year.
Question- how much money is awarded?
Answer- up to a maximum of $1000

The Mary Jane Coleman Scholarship
Mary Jane Coleman, a long time Greeneville resident, was the preeminent voice for the arts in our area for many years. As founder of the Sinking Creek Film Festival and the Greeneville Arts Council, Mary Jane Coleman continually promoted and encouraged emerging artists to reach their potential. In honor of her dedicated service to the arts, the Greeneville Arts Council is pleased to offer this scholarship in her memory.
Question- who can apply?
Answer- Current college sophomores, juniors or seniors enrolled full time at an accredited college, university, or art school, with a declared major in art, that are either Greeneville/ Greene County residents or graduated from Greeneville/Greene County High Schools.
Question- How much money is awarded?
Answer- up a maximum of $2,000

The Greeneville Arts Council Project Support Grants
Let’s hear your proposal! These grants provided by the Greeneville Arts Council are to be for the primary benefit of the arts, art education, and artists in Greeneville/Greene County, TN.
Question- who can apply?
Answer- Our Greeneville/Greene County Educators are welcome to apply to support projects to benefit our youth in experiences fostering an appreciation of art.
Organizational grant applicants must be legally chartered in Greeneville/Greene County,TN.
Individual applicants must be residents of Greeneville/Greene County.
Grant amounts, if any, are at the discretion of the Greeneville Arts Council.
Applications are accepted on an on going basis during our calendar year.
